[amelyssan](https://cohost.org/amelyssan) ## What's the thing? after being introduced to the PICO-8 virtual console, all of my chiptune dreams are coming true. picopique! is an EP in progress in which each track will be represented entirely by a PICO-8 cart as an exercise in aesthetic expression through self-imposed limitations. musical genre spaces include house, industrial, and art music, to be expanded according to whim as a music theory grad program dropout who struggles with burnout, trauma, and perfectionism, this exercise in technical limitations is a way to push myself to release something flawed and beautiful, free from any and all academic pressure i'm going to be sharing the carts as they're completed, and the project will live in the creative commons, distributed through itch.io and bandcamp ## Link the thing! https://cohost.org/amelyssan/tagged/picopique ## Anything else?
