[[2026 Books and Manga]]  ## 2026-06-28 **Ultraman** is a sequel/reboot of the original **Ultraman**, decades after its original events. It’s easy to get into even if you never experienced the original series, although you’ll get a lot more out of it if you have — there are some *deep cut* references in it. That said, this version of the series turns it into more of a **Kamen Rider** thing, where the Ultramen have high-powered suits that let them do all the cool shit they’re doing. I’ve seen some people say that they don’t like this change. I, personally, don’t care and think it’s cool as hell. That’s the thing about the **Ultraman** manga. While it does ask some interesting questions about Ultraman as a hero, and whether humanity should be placing blind faith on someone who may not always be there to save them, it's bog-standard stuff overall. But that’s okay because this series is powered by incredible art, hype moments and aura. I have almost 200 screenshots saved of panels from the series. Set your expectations accordingly, and you can’t really go wrong with this series. Excited to see how the finale shapes up.
