## 2025-04-20 I dunno if I have words for this movie right now. I’ll just say for now that it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life and that you should see it too. ## 2025-05-04 I love being Black. I’m not gonna explain why. If you know you know and if you don’t then I’m sorry for you! But I love being Black. **Sinners** is a movie first and foremost about loving being Black. Loving the culture it gives us, the joy we find in our community, the pain that comes from that culture being appropriated far too often. And it’s also a film about following your passion and living your life no matter what hell awaits. And frankly it’s a whole bunch of other things! This movie is the kind that you could talk about for hours and hours and hours, and the only real way I could get into it in depth is by writing out an actual essay like I’m back getting my Media Studies minor. Maybe I’ll do that one day, something more than the usual quick, off the dome thoughts I spill onto this blog. What I will say is watch **Sinners**. Then watch it again. Then maybe watch it a third time. Let its music and beauty and horror wash over. And then try and tell me it’s not one of the best movies to come out in a decade so I can laugh at you.
