## 2025-04-02 Still great tbh. Like I'm surprised by how good this movie still is. It's not the best **Planet of the Apes** movie out of the reboot trilogy, but it's still a solid little popcorn flick. My mom also enjoyed it, and she is not big on sci-fi generally. But I would say a strength of this film is actually based on that - it straddles the line between being sci-fi shit and a great character drama. The CGI still looks great all these years later, and Andy Serkis acts his ass of in that green-screen suit. If I hadn't already recently watched the other two films last year, I would have done it again.
