## 2025-04-16 I have so much to say about this game, but just to make sure I have some text here - it is legitimately a game that has made me laugh the hardest I have in months. Maybe years? It’s so fucking good. Grab some friends and check it out! ## 2025-04-17 Okay so! **REPO**. Obviously the direct comparison can be made to **Lethal Company**, but I already enjoy this game so much more. The first thing that helps is that it’s a six player game without any need for mods. This is just nice because - and let me flex for a bit - I have a lot of friends and we all want to play games together, but it can be a little restrictive at 4 people. Six people is a nice upgrade. Then there’s the mechanical depth compared to **LC**. In **REPO** you’re trying to collect items to fill a quota, but in this game the act of picking things up and putting them down is actually pretty interesting. You do this with an energy beam, and can upgrade your strength and range to pick heavier things up from further away. You can also rotate the things you pick up, and the things you pick up can all change your approach. There are items that explode if you grab them in the wrong spot, items that try to kill you if you hold them for too long, and items that make your character talk using the game’s very fun and silly TTS voice, even if you might want to be quiet. Getting items to your cart is an interesting and varied experience. I also love how much less *oppressive* **REPO** is. Everything feels very light-hearted and fun and honestly not that scary at all. The characters you play as have some of the best designs I’ve seen in a game of this type - they’re so silly and goofy with their big eyes and ragdoll effects. Monsters don’t feel like run-enders[^1] and more like problems that can be solved. Dying has much less of a penalty because the real health-bar is the value of the items you pick up, which can take damage when they get bumped into or bump into things. Even if your whole team gets wiped and it’s just you left, you can still clutch it out if you can get your cart of items to the delivery point. So yeah, **REPO** is shockingly awesome, and will definitely be in my regular multiplayer rotation for a while – that’s a big deal because I’m not usually into this type of game!
