When this movie got announced I would joke to Flynn about how Dan Trachtenberg stole my idea for a **Predator** series. Obviously I’m far from the only person that’s thought of “what if we had a bunch of **Predator** movies in different time periods,” especially after [[Prey (2022)|Prey]] came out. But it just felt like untapped potential that the franchise holders were sitting on.
Thankfully **Killer of Killers** rectifies that. The movie follows Vikings, Ninjas, and WWII pilots as they each contend with a Predator that upends them — literally and figuratively. This movie is gorgeous to look at. I’m glad we’ve been taking the right lessons from **Spiderverse** as far as CGI creation goes. It’s also a fantastic movie for people with [[ADHD]] — that’s me I’m people — because it kicks off with the premise and then just. Never lets up. There are down moments…kind of, LOL, but it’s mostly just a bunch of cool action.
What I wasn’t expecting was the amount of characterization each protagonist gets in their respective era. It’s an impressive feat to make me care about your cast when they get about 25 minutes each amongst themselves. They have complete and interesting arcs, even *before* a Predator shows up.
Only reason this is a 6 out of 7 is the fact that I wish each one was its own full movie, but that’s just me being petty. I want Trachtenberg to take this damn series as far as he can. I am loving the Predaissance.
