## 2025-03-02 The original **Lion King** is one of my favorite movies of all time. The **Lion King Remake** is an abomination that should never have come into fruition. But worse than that, **Mufasa**, the **Lion King** prequel, leaves me with no feeling at all. It simply exists, an amalgamation of everything wrong and boring and bland and dry about Hollywood, and Disney in particular. Everything about it is predictable, safe, and uninteresting. I almost didn't write any notes on it because of how little I feel for it, positive or negative. What a hollow shell of a film. The CGI was better than the **Lion King Remake**, and some of the tracks were kind of good.[^1] That's about all I got. Oh I do have one feeling. Hatred for the Timon & Pumba cutaways.
