![[Morlequariat - The Final Chronicle of the House of Plifk - epiglottal-axolotl-20240302145516056.png]] ## What's your Cohost Link? [epiglottal-axolotl](https://cohost.org/epiglottal-axolotl) ## What's the thing? A tactical/puzzle JRPG with fully deterministic combat mechanics created in a homemade game engine programmed in C++ using the SFML framework. I'm making everything for it by hand: engine code, level design, graphics, music, even some of the file formats used for the assets. It plays similarly to a cross between Into the Breach and A Link to the Past, with LttP's nonlinear overworld puzzles and ITB's turn-based team-versus-team tactical combat mechanics. The game has been in development since august of 2018. The development is currently on hiatus due to other priorities, but I hope to resume work on it this summer. ## Link the thing! https://mithrilnova.itch.io/morlequariat-alpha-v1 ## Anything else? Sometimes I livestream when I'm working on the game (thursdays at 9:30 EST). Well, I livestream /something/ creative every thursday but it's been other projects lately.
