## 2025-05-23 One of those games that I can play over and over again and find new ways to enjoy it. **Battle Network 1&2** had to crawl and walk, respectively, for **Battle Network 3** to be able to go into a full-on sprint. And *boy does it*. Of the original **Battle Network** trilogy, **BN3** has the best combat, the best story, the best postgame[^1], the best QOL, the best customization, the best balance, etc. etc. etc. It’s a slow start when you’re low on good chips for a unicode deck, but once you’re able to get something going it feels so goddamn good. I’m in scenario 5 atm and the Gods have deemed that I get a bunch of “D” chips, so I’ve just been leaning into it. It’s new to me but not too bad, though I’m sure I’ll land on my trusty “P” Deck eventually. Lots of Shockwaves and some lucky Guts D chip gets too. And running HeatCustom Style at the moment, which I doubt will change because I love having 10 chips available to me at any given time. **Battle Network** is just that bitch, y’all. No one has come close to replicating it which is shocking to me. Indie devs, stop doing roguelikes and give me more of this, I’m begging. [^1]: Frankly it probably has the best post-game out of all six games tbh
