I'm not shocked that this movie was good, I've heard that it is for a long while now. No I'm more shocked that it's *still* good. Like it holds up wonderfully, give or take an R-word that definitely reeks of the early 2000s, lmfao.
I really appreciated the message of the movie and how the main character recognizes her sense of self-worth. I feel like it's pretty timeless as far as lessons to learn, especially for young women. And mind you, this is *before* social media started to blast girls with the body dysmorphia beam.
The vibes were nice and cheery, it was uplifting, some solid jokes...honestly very few complaints outside some of that older humor not holding up. Reese Witherspoon carries that movie on her *back* for real. I am not really a fan of like, individual actors, but she did a great job here with her charisma and total commital to the role. It makes Elle come across as wonderfully genuine. Thinking about it now, in a culture that feels severely irony-poisoned, it makes **Legally Blonde** feel that much nicer to experience.
Goodass movie! *6* out of *7*.
