[[2026 Books and Manga]] ![|500](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81GyqsC7hSL.jpg) ## 2026-01-19 Been doing a **JoJo** reread recently, starting with **Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable**. It’s been a while, but I think it’s likely to remain my favorite part in the series. Although you could argue that **Part 3** put [[Hirohiko Araki]] on the map, **Part 4** is where I’d argue he found his footing. **Diamond is Unbreakable** has incredible pacing, where chapters that might feel like filler end up swinging back around to be relevant in surpising ways. Josuke is unarguably my favorite JoJo protagonist. I love his dumb delinquent ass, and his Stand power is super cool. Morioh is an interesting location, and having the entire arc take place in one town forces Araki to get creative, both in terms of locations and battles. This is the part where the mangaka really locked in as far as unique stand powers. *Bites the Dust* is absolutely unhinged in the best sort of way, but even stuff like Tonio Trussardi’s *Pearl Jam* is fun, even as something of a one off. On that note, **Diamond is Unbreakable** is also where Araki started to get me to really care about the cast of characters in a JoJo arc. I love everyone in Part 4, from the main players to the side-characters. I even love the antagonist, which I can’t always say for JoJo as a series, lol. Easy 6/7, big fan.
