[[2026 Games#^53c076|2026 Games]] **Grand Theft Auto VI**, already the most annoying game in existence, is currently being leaked by some guy. They've been posting multiple clips a day, and as of this writing, **Rockstar** can't find them. This is extremely funny to me, and extremely deserved. They deserve this for a lot of reasons - union busting being chief among them - but right now I want to bring up a specific reason, which is that **Rockstar** wants you to pre-order this fucking game sight unseen, and that is fucking stupid. If you put your game up for pre-order so people can spend money on it then you should probably show some gameplay of the game you're selling. It is ridiculous that **Rockstar** thinks it's acceptable to sell this game whilst withholding so much information about it. We don't know if it runs at 60FPS, if it hits 720p with dynamic resolution, or how many fucking gigabytes it'll take from your [[PlayStation 5]]. But it's even more ridiculous that people are buying it without knowing anything anyways. And that's the crux of my irritation right now. GTA Fans don't fucking care. They're cheering for this corporation, the expensive prices, the special editions locking out content, the lack of info, the lack of physical availability. There are people who, as of this writing, tracking this GTA Leaker down by the minute, 24/7. Doing insane levels of detective work for absolutely zero dollars. For the love the bootlicking game. And don't get me wrong, I don't think this leaker is some great guy. Shilling a scam crypto coin is shitty. But that's like, normal levels of grifting. The people trying to capture him like he murdered someone are significantly more unhinged, in my humble opinion. **Grand Theft Auto VI**, from what I can tell of the leaks, looks like every other recent **Rockstar** release: bland, poor in its game feel, and unlikely to do interesting things with the medium that is video games outside of showcasing technical prowess that isn't very interesting in 2026. But it also seems to represent a shift for the medium that makes me uneasy. Hold your indie titles tight, y'all.
