[[2026 Games]]

They should let Grezzo make more of their own original games. **Ever Oasis** was sent out to day in the tail-end of the [[Nintendo 3DS|3DS’]] life-cycle, and it irritates me to no end. The start is a little slow, and it’s tougher than I’d like at times, surprisingly. But I love the aesthetic, and I love the gameplay loop of adding little guys to your oasis to collect money and increae your health. Then the little guys you collect alert you of more little guys to collect! It’s like a paired down version of [[Rune Factory - Guardians of Azuma|Rune Factory]], made to fit in your pocket.
The dungeon design is definitely inspired by Grezzo’s time doing the **Zelda** remakes for the **3DS** as well. Each one has light combat and some simple but engaging puzzles that keep a good pace as you explore. The combat feels a little like a **Mana** game’s, where you have three party members to switch between that all carry different weapons that can do extra damage to specific monster types. Nothing groundbreaking, but all very pleasant.
That’s the word I’d use to describe **Ever Oasis** as a whole: *pleasant*. Give ita look if you happened to miss it during the [[Nintendo Switch]] hype. It’s a hidden gem.
