![[CubeXX-1743267040253.jpg]] My **40XXV** has been hurting my hands lately so I replaced it with the **CubeXX**. I was a little worried about the 1:1 ratio but honestly I'm quite smitten with the thing. [[Super Nintendo]] and **Game Boy Color** games render on it quite nicely, with the former at an 8:7 ratio which looks fantastic. 4:3 games I have an overlay to take up the rest of the screen real estate, but even those look good on it - when rendered with integer scaling it's basically taking up 3.5 inches of screen space, which isn't bad at all. [[Game Boy Advance]] games can also get integer scaling on this thing, and though that leaves a lot of black space, this being a 720 x 720 screen makes everything look gorgeous on it. Also, getting the black model was the right choice - it's a lot harder to notice bezels on it, with the whole console sort of just melting away in your hands as you play the game. But the main positive it has is its ergonomics. This is the most comfortable low-budget handheld out there, without question. It feels so good to use for extended periods of time thanks to the bumps on the back that fit the shape of my BIG, MEATY CLAWS. The dpad is also super cozy, mirroring that of the **Sega Genesis**, and the buttons are all good to press without being too loud. Even the sticks are nice, though I've gotten barely any use out of them. I usually prefer the left stick to be on the top left of a handheld, with the dpad on the bottom, but that isn't really an issue for a console like this. It's more of a nice to have, or to play **Ape Escape** on the [[PlayStation]], lmfao. Quite happy with this grab. I could easily see it being my daily driver.
