[[2026 Cafe Posts#^172725|2026 Cafe Posts]] Asking that, I'm mostly talking about the weather. Jersey is finally showing hints at least - I'm writing this on a day where the high is 69F, so we're getting close. But it's still 80s for the foreseeable future in Colorado, so...yay... Fall is usually my favorite season of the year, but it's hard to get into it when A: it's as hot as it has been and B: I feel the Sword of Damacles hanging over me as my job search continues to bare no fruit. To be far, it's hard to enjoy *anything* with that level of anxiety persisting in my brain. It's annoying, but at least I know it's not just me struggling - weird to say, but it's easier to cope when I know it's not a skill issue. The imposter syndrom is bad enough as is, you know. Anyways, that's the gloom & doom paragraph. I still take time to try and enjoy things, and mostly succeed. This is the longest I've gone without working since I was 17 years old, which was a whole [REDACTED] years ago. Resting feels good, and not needing to work every fucking day is actually pretty great. Who'd have thought! I have a few things to look forward to before winter shows itself, too. I actually got a sticker at Chelsea Market of an Oddish saying "touch grass," and it kinda sums up my life these past few months, and especially these past few weeks, and it's been nice. Sorry this post is kind of meandering but it's fine, I used my brain writing other stuff today. Gonna take a walk now.
