[[Session 8]] ## LAST TIME ON FABULA Z! Megaira and Thorne were nowhere to be found! After fighting a bear comprised of pure earth, you came across a rusted down building in these craggy ruins, made out of metal walls unlike you've ever seen before. There, you learned of a man named Dr. Ubom. Some sort of experiment on an unknown land called "Mars" occurred that deeply upset him, and he put his faith in a creation of his to fix things. Could it be...? As you ponder these new revelations, Marshmallow finally finds you, and you head to your next destination: Draco Insula! --- ## Session Goal Meet the family, solve the mystery of the dragons, get the Stone. ## Adventure Summary The team arrives in Draco Insula. Cain catches up with his family, before requesting the Stone. His family tells him that it was lost years ago, during the battle with Emperor Argo that wiped out a majority of the dragons. However, a Patrol believes that it might be found in the ruins of Aevum Temple, as they felt an immense burst of magical energy there at some point. However, they've been unable to open the Temple doors. The gang head to the temple, but are beaten there by Megaira. It's time to settle this once and for all. Defeat Megaira and subdue her dragon. Regardless, after this the team will enter Aevum Temple, which only opens to Cain. > The Temple feels sacred the minute you enter it, despite it being a crumbling ruin. Its halls are silver, its air cool to the neck. It's sparsely decorated, with only a series of statues of knights dressed not quite unlike Cain on either side of the main hall leading into the Temple. At the center stands a pedestal with the stone. Before anyone can reach it, they're encountered by a beautiful dark skinned woman in a gown seemingly made out of the stars themselves and holding a pocket watch in one hand. She points to Cain, telling him that he is the key to the dragons, then snaps the pocket watch shut. At that exact moment, a circling blue portal appears, dragging the party inside. If the session still continues from there, the portal spits them back out into the Temple, but things feel...different. The group steps outside to see a war raging in front of them - dragons against mechanical soldiers. I have Morgan reveal that "Averum" means Time. The group is about to be attacked by a swarm of these soldiers, when a man riding a giant golden dragon stamps them down.
