[[Session 9]] ## LAST TIME ON FABULA Z! The team arrived at Draco Insula. Everyone meets the family, before requesting the Stone. His family tells him to head to Aevum Temple. There they meet and defeat Megaira. Cain is able to open the door, before the Time Witch transports them to the past... ## Session Goal Defeat Emperor Argo's Lieutenant, get the Stone, and save the dragons! ## Adventure Summary The group are spit out of the Portal back out into the Temple, but things feel...different. The group steps outside to see a war raging in front of them - dragons against mechanical soldiers. I have Morgan reveal that "Averum" means Time. The group is about to be attacked by a swarm of these soldiers, when two women riding a giant dragon stamps them down. It's Cain's moms, from the past! [[Eve]] and [[Lilith]] don't recognize their son (of course), but do recognize one of their own. They ask Cain and the squad to help them cut a path through Argo's never-ending swarm of soldiers to kill their Clockwork Lieutenant, Balmore. Kill it, and the soldiers will deactivate. They must do so quickly, though, as a swarm of these tincans are heading towards the reserve of eggs contained in the Palace. It's now or never! Cain does just that, with the help of his friends. They stem the tide after a difficult encounter or two, before finally stopping the swarm. Inside of the Lieutenant they find the final stone! But before they can speak to Cain's parents again, the portal reappears, sucking them back through to the present day. The party rushes back to the castle, but realize they've changed things. There are dragons everywhere now because of their actions in the past! Lilith and Eve pledge these dragons to Cain in the final battle against Argo, after revealing they knew this would happen, but not wanting to disturb the flow of time. You have the stones.
